Pelagial boat handling training provides comprehensive instruction and experience for those who aim to improve their skills and confidence in Rigid Inflatable Boats (RIBs) and Inflatables. The passage planning, and the preparation and implementation of boat operations (including diving and survey work) are structured around practical application and learning on the water.

As with all our training, the boat handling courses are specifically tailored to your requirements. An example of which is given below:

RIB handler / dive coxswain
The RIB handler / dive coxswain course is designed for those who already have some experience in RIBs and wish to be competent and confident handlers in situations where there are divers in the water. This course is also relevant for those who may find themselves in situations where there are people in the water who require a safe, quick recovery. Search methods and patterns and post-recovery care are included. The techniques taught are suitable for the crews of Fast Rescue Craft, lifeboats and safety boats.
